All children should be given the chance to learn. Our experienced programme teams design reforms to reach the most marginalised learners, including those with special educational needs or disabilities, and train education professionals in inclusive pedagogies to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to access education.

We have more than 20 years’ experience of working in fragile and conflict-affected states and supporting education in emergencies. We provide rapid-response support and advice in emergencies, as well as both immediate and long-term technical assistance for post-crisis capacity building and reform.

Education leadership is second only to the quality of teaching in terms of impact on learning outcomes. We support school and system leaders to become agents of change beyond their own school or district, driving efficient and effective school reform.

We work in partnership with governments, NGOs and donors to develop and support effective education reforms which improve teaching and learning across whole education systems. We help to maximise gains in learning outcomes – especially for the most marginalised learners.

Our passion for girls’ education is matched by our experience and expertise. We have extensive experience of delivering at-scale education programmes that benefit girls across the world, as well as a deep evidence base in what works in girls’ education.

We know that effective teaching starts with excellent teachers. We have been working with teachers in Africa for over 30 years. Our flagship programmes, research, and consultancy work are designed to promote effective teacher professional development to improve learning outcomes and the overall quality of education provision.
