EDT at the Education World Forum 2023

This month, we were proud to sponsor the Education World Forum (EWF), the world’s largest gathering of education and skills ministers. The London-based conference brought over 140 ministers of education together to consider this year’s EWF theme: stronger, bolder, better education by design.

We were delighted to meet with policymakers and ministers from a range of countries to discuss EDT’s impact, research and programmes, and to offer an EDT-sponsored contingent of education representatives a tour of an outstanding primary school in the London Borough of Camden. Its teachers are participants in our Early Career Professional Development Programme through Camden Learning.

Cheryl McGechie, Marketing & Business Development Director commented: ‘Stronger, bolder, better education by design sums up all that we aim to do at EDT.  EWF is therefore a very opportune moment for us to engage with policymakers and delivery partners to challenge ourselves and others on how we do this even more effectively in the year ahead.  It is a great listening opportunity, to help us understand what the key concerns are for ministries around the world and to discuss how to build evidence and creatively address these’.

EWF 2023 addressed what we have learned from recent disruption to education, along with discussion of effective responses longer-term challenges and changes in the education sector worldwide. The programme helped delegates to consider how to build resilience in their education systems, with particular reflections on the importance of leadership, and the growing potential of technology to support core aims. It also considered the sustainability of education, as well as its potential to contribute to global sustainability efforts.

We were delighted to be part of this key event and look forward to further collaborations in future.
