EDT hosts Delivery Partner National Conference on teacher development

On Tuesday 22 March, we held our very first Delivery Partner National Conference in Birmingham, UK. Early Career Professional Development Programme and National Professional Qualifications Delivery Partners from across England gathered to collaborate and share best practice and ideas.

Early Career Professional Development Programme (ECPDP) and National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are both teacher development programmes; ECPDP supports early career teachers as they begin their teaching career and NPQs support middle and senior leaders in their professional development. Both programmes form part of the ‘golden thread’ teacher development system which runs from Initial Teacher Training (ITT) to school leadership, ensuring that teachers are supported by high-quality evidence and training throughout their entire career. Our ECPDP and NPQs Delivery Partners include Teaching School Hubs and Multi-Academy Trusts, who work with the programme teams to deliver training to participants.

The ECPDP and NPQs teams enjoyed the opportunity to finally meet Delivery Partners in person, during what proved to be a productive and thought-provoking day. We were delighted to receive a great amount of positive feedback about the day from our Delivery Partners, including the following Tweets:

EDT and ImpactEd publish report into benefits of school-led tutoring

Education Development Trust (EDT) has been delivering training for the School-Led Tutoring route of the National Tutoring Programme since 2021, and recently expanded its training offer for the 2022-23 academic year. This helps to ensure that all tutors employed by schools have the right skills and knowledge to provide high-quality tuition to their pupils, and that schools understand how to embed tutoring effectively within their own contexts.
