Six primary schools and four kindergartens in Abu Dhabi conducted action research projects in 2010.

Education Development Trust (formerly CfBT) worked closely with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) to operate a number of primary schools and kindergartens in Abu Dhabi. In December 2009, 33 teachers from 13 primary schools and kindergartens in Abu Dhabi participated in a one-day professional development workshop to learn how to conduct an action research project in an educational setting. The training included: designing research questions; an introduction to qualitative and quantitative research methodologies; an overview of data analysis; and a brief discussion on research ethics. Following the training, six primary schools and four kindergartens decided that they would like to conduct an action research project.
